Did You Know There Are Different Levels of Orgasm?

According to a new study there are 4 different levels or types of orgasms.  They range from THE BEST to the So So. The Best are going to be those emotionally and physically  intense orgasms that bring on that sense of Satisfcation (with a Capital S!) and that calming state of relaxtion when it’s over…you know, the kind that we never want to be ‘OVER’. Then, the So So orgasms can best bescribed as, “eh”, with not as much as that afterglow that we get from the The Besties.  So, the question is, How do we get the Besties more often? 3 easy ways…

1. Masturbation Station: There is nothing wrong with self stimulation, especially self stimulation while engaged with your partner. Some women worry that a guy will be threatened if a women touches and tries to please herself.  The truth is, he will most likely LOVE IT and be extremely turned on! For most women the key to orgasm lies in the nerve packed clitoris and we don’t always get this form of stimulation durring intercourse.  We can get it if we are on top, but most other positions wont allow enough friction to give the sensation we need fo our special button.  It is suggested that either he or YOU manually stimulate the button; im thinkin’ he would like to see you do it.

2. Multiply the fun: Women are most likely to orgasm when they engage in multiple acts of sex, for example oral sex and vaginal sex. It’s proven, through research, that couples that try MORE in the sack find sex to be sexier and spend more time on it.  You will get out of it what you put into it!

3. Connect with your Partner: Higher quality orgasms are achieved when women are emotionally bonded and connected with their partners. The close you are the more comfortable you feel. The more comfortable you feel the more likely you are to open up and try new things, explore eachother and really take time to please one another. In essence, when you are in “love” sex is better, not only emotionally but physically as well.

Human Sexual Response Cycle: What happens When We Become aroused?

It’s always good to know your body and how your body responds to stimulation and arousal.  We are going to go through the 4 stages of the Human Sexual Response Cycle to help you better understand just whats happening to you during times of intimate arousal and excitement.  Knowing will help to enhance your sexual experience and make you able to pinpoint the cause of any sexual problems or issues you may be experiencing.

Phase 1: Excitement

Responses that occur in this phase can last a few minutes and up to several hours! What happens in Phase 1?:

Increased muscle tension.
Accelerated breathing and increased heart rate.
Blotchiness of the skin, especially on the neck, chest and back.
Erect nipples.
Blood flow to the genitals increase. Swelling of the clitoris and inner lips (labia minor), and erection of the penis occur.
Vagina becomes naturally lubricated.
Woman’s breasts become fuller  (may increase up to 25%) and the vaginal walls begin to swell.
Man’s testicles begin to swell, his scrotum gets tighter and he begins secreting a lubricating liquid (“pre-cum”)

Phase 2: Plateau Phase

What Happens in Phase 2?:

Phase 1 changes become intensified.
The vagina and penis continue to swell due to the increased blood flow.
The clitoris becomes very sensitive (maybe even to painful to touch) and will automatically retract itself under the clitoral hood to avoid direct stimulation.
Testicles become withdrawn into the scrotum.
Heart rate, breathing and blood pressure are continually increasing.
Muscle spasm can occur in face, hands and feet.

Phase 3: Orgasm

The shortest of the phases and usually lasts only a few seconds. What Happens in the Orgasm Phase?:

Involuntary muscle contractions begin.
Muscles in the feet begin to spasm.
Feeling of a sudden, forceful release of sexual tension.
Rhythmic contractions of the muscles in the genitalia begin, which results in release of semen and bodily fluids for both male and female (females do not secrete semen).

Phase 4: Resolution

The body returns to normal.

This phase is marked by a sense of well being, enhanced intimacy and often fatigue.  some women may be able to return rapidly to the orgasm phase to experience multiple orgasms.  Men, however, need more of a recovery time after they reach orgasm.  This recovery period is known as a refractory period and they cannot reach orgasm during this period.  The refractory time period is different for each man and usually lengthens with age.
